Tomorrow is Remembrance Sunday, as it’s the closest Sunday to Armistice Day on the 11th November. Being part of a family with strong military connections, this has always been significant for us.

My Dad served in the Scots Guards and his brothers in the REME and the RAF. Both my Grandfather’s also served, my paternal Grandfather during WWI in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment and my maternal Grandfather during WWII in the NZRAF.

I will be joining Wyre and Preston North Labour Party members at the Poulton-le-Fylde Remembrance service, where we will be laying a wreath in remembrance of all those who have died in service to their country.
